Bromhexine Hydrochloride contains not less than 98.5% percent of C14H20Br2N2·HCl , calculated on the anhydrous basis.
Characteristics: A white or almost white crystalline powder.
Slightly soluble in ethanol and in Chloroform; very slightly soluble in water.
Melting point: 239°C to 243°C. Melt and decompose
