Vitamin B Complex
Vitamin B Complex is an injectable preparation containg Vitamins
B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12.
Vitamin B Complex
Thiamine (B1) helps maintain normal energy metabolism, Riboflavin
(B2) functions especially to help mitochondria of cells to
produce energy, Pyridoxine (B6) is in coenzymes which function
at all levels of protein and amino acid metabolism and in
new formation of haemoglobin and all new proteins. Pantothenol
(B5) is necessary in coenzymes which make and carry glucose
and fatty acids for energy supply, as well as making steriod
hormones and brain neurotransmitters, and Cyanocobalamin (B12)
forms part of the coenzymes essential for all cells, particularly
rapid turnover cells. The B Complex vitamins are intimately
involved with haemopoiesis. They usually function together
in metabolic processes as coenzymes, and are closely dependant
on each other, so the absence of one will affect the others.
As water soluble vitamins they need to be taken in on a daily
basis in the diet, and they are equally rapidly excreted,
so B Complex vitamin supplements must be administered on a
regular basis in the case of deficiency. The need for B Complex
Vitamins will be significantly increased in human bodies in
training and under stress. Additional B Complex will support
the appetite in the face of stress. Additionally, B Complex
is of value in convalescence from injury, surgery and illness
and in geriatric conditions and parasitism.
